Carrying out interviews with Carriers over 2020 and 2021 has provided us with a wealth of data about the carbon emissions across our Global network, able to pinpoint the amount of carbon emitted per parcel per flight path.
Through collecting data across 2020-2021, we are able to elicit positive changes across our Customer network as providing visibility can offer sustainable customer solutions.
Progress made so far includes Malta post taking steps to begin their sustainability journey, in 2021. In addition, Aramex provided a rich interview demonstrating improvement across their sustainability strategy. Improvements from 2020 include notable investment in fleet decarbonisation, including working directly with EV manufacturers to pilot the use of new delivery vehicles in hot climates, as well as sharing information on human rights and modern slavery.
From 31st of March 2023, Customers will have visibility of their carbon emissions per volume/parcel size/flight path.
This visibility will give Customers greater capacity to introduce sustainable solutions and encourage ongoing engagement across our partners Sustainability strategies.
